Base Salary
$114k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and maintain enterprise-level toolsets for cross-discipline engineering teams.
- Develop toolsets that exploit large operational datasets supporting communications subsystems and advanced payload technologies.
- Collaborate with Cloud & Application, Communications & Networking, Advanced Payload Technologies, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test teams.
- Design, build, and maintain mission-critical systems with stakeholders.
- Identify technical risks and opportunities and develop mitigation plans.
- Communicate team progress and accomplishments to senior leadership.
- Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Maintain and enhance relevant technical certifications.
Requirements
- Principal level requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 5 years of related engineering experience, a STEM master's degree and 3 years, or a STEM PhD and 1 year.
- Sr Principal level requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 8 years of related engineering experience, a STEM master's degree and 6 years, or a STEM PhD and 4 years.
- Hands-on software development experience with Python, Java, C++, and/or MATLAB for exploiting large datasets.
- Experience in at least two areas including predictive trend analysis with AI/ML, complex databases, container management, task automation, or performance monitoring.
- Ability to interpret complex Interface Control Documents and drawings to build data structures from raw source information.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as the Atlassian Suite, Confluence, Jira, or Bitbucket.
- Active US Government Top Secret clearance with a qualifying recent background investigation or Continuous Evaluation enrollment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI and SAP clearances.
- Preferred qualifications include agile experience, current SAP clearance, project roadmap support, DevOps CI/CD pipeline experience, cloud-readiness and migration experience, microservices architecture experience, Infrastructure as Code and configuration management experience, and Kubernetes platform administration.
