Base Salary
$195k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in engineering team activities such as RFCs, PRDs, and code reviews.
- Design and review systems with security implications, ensuring security is integrated from the start.
- Take ownership of vulnerabilities in application code and collaborate with engineers to remediate issues.
- Build and manage security controls, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Design alerting rules and incident response workflows within the SIEM.
- Define ownership and build scalable security capabilities across teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a software engineer with a strong engineering background.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes environments.
- Ability to perform high-quality code reviews and understand production codebases.
- Strong security engineering mindset with an understanding of threats and security tradeoffs.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM systems, Terraform, and WAF configuration.
