Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications built with Oracle APEX.
- Build Oracle Database solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions, views, triggers, and data models.
- Develop integrations using RESTful services, APIs, and Oracle REST Data Services.
- Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, performant, and maintainable applications.
- Contribute to architecture, coding standards, design patterns, security practices, reusable components, and development templates.
- Troubleshoot complex UI, application logic, integration, session, concurrency, runtime, and database performance issues.
- Manage Git-based branching, code review, release versioning, and repository governance practices.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, documentation, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, QA, DBAs, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as an Oracle APEX Developer.
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Oracle APEX application design, page processes, reports, forms, security, authentication, authorization, and deployment.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience for Oracle APEX front-end customization.
- Experience designing and supporting RESTful and API-based integrations using Oracle REST Data Services.
- Strong Git repository experience, including branching, merge or pull requests, code reviews, and release versioning.
- Ability to diagnose complex PL/SQL and Oracle APEX runtime issues, including data inconsistencies, concurrency challenges, session conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
- Strong communication skills, clear explanation of technical tradeoffs, and very good command of English.
- Preferred qualifications include 7 or more years of relevant enterprise application experience, experience with large-scale business-critical Oracle APEX solutions, mentoring experience, and familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, automated deployments, application security, access controls, auditing, and database performance tuning.
- Agile, Scrum, cloud platform, DevOps, Oracle APEX, or Oracle Database certifications are preferred.
