Responsibilities
- Build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling for commercialization systems.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to develop systems and processes as business needs evolve.
- Scale systems for commercial expansion and increasing complexity.
- Develop solutions for world simulation, regression testing, and evaluation of software services managing autonomous-vehicle fleets.
- Collaborate technically across mobile apps, cloud backends, and the Waymo Driver and functionally with operations, product, legal, partnerships, policy, and privacy teams.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of backend or infrastructure experience.
- Experience with C++ or willingness to participate in professional development to stay current on industry knowledge.
- Experience working with nontechnical team members is preferred.
- Experience with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools is preferred.
