Responsibilities
- Formulate business problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Develop machine learning algorithms, models, computational systems, and scalable data pipelines for training and production.
- Customize and apply deep learning and generative AI models, including solutions for edge devices and high-performance computing environments.
- Research and develop AI and high-performance computing algorithms, models, simulations, and applications.
- Process large-scale datasets and implement data storage and retrieval mechanisms for models and knowledge.
- Deploy and maintain production AI/ML systems with monitoring, alerting, automated bug filing, and auditing.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, including users, engineers, architects, and UI designers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Significant experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- Experience with computer science foundations, computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- Experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including potential work with big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid computing, cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- Experience building and deploying AI/ML software in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience working with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong communication, client-facing, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- An MS or PhD in a related field such as computer science or engineering is preferred.
