Responsibilities
- Assist in developing AI/ML solutions for semiconductor device characterization and compact model development.
- Contribute to intelligent parameter extraction and model-fitting workflows.
- Analyze large-scale wafer measurement and characterization datasets using machine learning techniques.
- Develop AI-assisted model validation, quality assessment, anomaly detection, and automation approaches.
- Build Python software components and data-processing pipelines.
- Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models for modeling and characterization workflows.
- Collaborate with experts using IC-CAP, WaferPro, MBP, and MQA technologies.
- Participate in software design, code reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
- Investigate generative AI and agentic AI technologies for device-modeling automation and engineering productivity.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, EDA/CAD, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with interest in applying AI/ML to semiconductor technologies and engineering workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include coursework or research in semiconductor devices, compact modeling, RF devices, analog/mixed-signal circuits, semiconductor physics, or EDA/CAD.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with semiconductor characterization, parameter extraction, compact model development, SPICE modeling, optimization, Bayesian optimization, parameter estimation, design space exploration, or predictive modeling.
- Preferred qualifications include experience analyzing experimental or measurement datasets and exposure to C++, Rust, Windows or Linux software development, and Git.
- Curiosity and eagerness to work in an Agile, collaborative team environment.
