Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead major projects from design through production.
- Set high standards and provide deep technical input during architecture design reviews.
- Drive technical direction and strategy across multiple teams.
- Build highly available, performant, scalable, and secure services for a mission-critical domain.
- Mentor and grow engineers toward Senior and Staff levels.
- Partner with product and design teams to deliver solutions based on customer needs.
- Advise Director, Senior Director, and Vice President-level leadership on technical strategy and long-term investments.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience driving technical strategy with impact across multiple teams.
- Expertise building large-scale cloud services using SQL, NoSQL, and queuing systems.
- Experience designing and delivering highly available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Backend cloud experience with Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar managed languages.
- Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to partner with product managers and engineers to create a technical backlog and customer-focused product experiences.
- Strong passion for quality design, code, tools, and architectures.
