Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and oversee enterprise-scale cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead architecture and delivery for full-stack applications using React, Angular, TypeScript, .NET, C#, Python, Node.js, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Own Azure architecture across networking, security, governance, identity, observability, resilience, performance, and cost optimization.
- Define enterprise Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, solution governance, application modernization, cloud migrations, and hybrid-cloud integration.
- Guide teams in building AI and Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, agentic AI frameworks, RAG, vector databases, and enterprise AI architectures.
- Establish architecture, engineering, coding, security, and cloud governance standards.
- Lead globally distributed architects, developers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and QA resources across onshore and offshore models.
- Provide delivery oversight covering Agile and Scrum practices, risk management, estimation, roadmap planning, technical dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with executives, clients, business stakeholders, product owners, program managers, and engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of professional software engineering and solution architecture experience, including at least 8 years architecting enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience serving as a Lead Architect, Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, or Principal Architect for large-scale enterprise programs.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Functions, API Management, OpenAI, Generative AI Services, Storage, Key Vault, Containers, SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Landing Zones, Virtual WAN, and Azure Networking Services; AKS is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, Python, Node.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
- Strong frontend architecture experience with React, Angular, TypeScript, and modern UI/UX frameworks.
- Expertise designing enterprise Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
- Deep understanding of Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, VPN, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, DNS, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, and network security architecture.
- Strong DevOps and platform engineering experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release management.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, Azure Policy, and Defender for Cloud.
- Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams and coordinating complex delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, client-facing, Agile, Scrum, roadmap, risk, budget, and delivery skills.
- Preferred certifications include Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent.
- Preferred experience includes agentic AI and multi-agent architectures; Azure OpenAI; Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or AutoGen; Microsoft Copilot Studio; AI Foundry; RAG; enterprise AI platforms; SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or SharePoint integrations; Fortune 500 transformation programs; and regulated industries.
