Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee enterprise-scale cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead full stack application architecture using React, Angular, TypeScript, .NET, C#, Python, Node.js, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Own Azure architecture across networking, security, identity, governance, observability, resilience, performance, and cost optimization.
- Define Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, solution governance, cloud migrations, application modernization, and hybrid cloud integration.
- Guide engineering teams in developing Azure OpenAI, Generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, vector database, and enterprise AI solutions.
- Establish architecture, coding, security, compliance, privacy, and cloud governance standards.
- Lead globally distributed architects, developers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and QA resources.
- Provide delivery oversight including estimation, roadmap planning, risk management, technical dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers and evaluate emerging technologies for strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of professional software engineering and solution architecture experience, including at least 8 years architecting enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience serving as a Lead Architect, Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, or Principal Architect on large-scale enterprise programs.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Functions, API Management, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Storage, Key Vault, Containers, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Landing Zones, Virtual WAN, and Azure networking services.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET, C#, Python, Node.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
- Strong frontend architecture experience with React, Angular, TypeScript, and modern UI/UX frameworks.
- Expertise designing enterprise Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
- Deep Azure networking experience including Virtual Networks, VPNs, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, DNS, load balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, and network security architecture.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release management.
- Extensive cloud security, identity, and governance experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, Azure Policy, and Defender for Cloud.
- Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams and coordinating complex delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, client-facing, Agile, Scrum, roadmap, risk, budget, and delivery skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Scrum, or equivalent Agile certifications.
- Preferred experience includes agentic AI and multi-agent architectures, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, AutoGen, Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, RAG, enterprise AI platforms, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Fortune 500 programs, and regulated industries.
