Base Salary
$110k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build software solutions supporting precision medicine, cancer research, and patient treatment outcomes.
- Architect and lead development of scalable applications and distributed systems.
- Design complex React component systems and high-throughput backend services.
- Optimize PostgreSQL queries, indexes, and system performance.
- Implement sophisticated Redis caching solutions.
- Orchestrate infrastructure and applications on GCP.
- Make high-impact architectural decisions and establish technical best practices.
- Mentor engineering teams and lead cross-team technical initiatives.
- Present technical solutions to diverse stakeholders and resolve complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of advanced TypeScript/JavaScript development experience.
- Extensive experience architecting and leading development with Node.js and NestJS.
- Expert-level React development experience, including complex component systems.
- Advanced PostgreSQL skills covering query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing Redis caching solutions for high-throughput systems.
- Experience designing and implementing distributed microservice architectures.
- Significant experience orchestrating infrastructure and applications on GCP.
- Mastery of enterprise-level design patterns in large-scale, mission-critical systems.
- 7+ years of software development experience with technical leadership.
- Ability to make high-impact architectural decisions balancing business and technical needs.
- Experience mentoring engineering teams and establishing technical best practices.
- Experience delivering complex projects in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
- Ability to drive cross-team technical initiatives and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience is a bonus.
- Biotech, genomics, or precision medicine experience is a bonus.
- Experience leading cloud-platform migrations, such as AWS to GCP, is a bonus.
