Base Salary

$125k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build software tools and construct scenarios to analyze system performance.
  • Develop prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineers to plan and organize product development.
  • Own software through requirements definition, prototyping, development, testing, rollout, and ongoing support.
  • Develop payload management, orbital prediction, and analysis systems for large spacecraft constellations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, data science, or another engineering discipline.
  • Software development experience with C++ or Python.
  • Preferred experience with distributed systems or large-scale consumer internet systems.
  • Preferred production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.
  • Understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience profiling and improving application performance.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB.
  • Previous satellite or spacecraft systems experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in mathematics and physics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, and communicate effectively.
  • Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed for critical development or on-orbit operations.
  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

  • Base salary ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 for Level 1 and from $145,000 to $195,000 for Level 2.
