Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build software tools and construct scenarios to analyze system performance.
- Develop prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
- Collaborate with engineers to plan and organize product development.
- Own software through requirements definition, prototyping, development, testing, rollout, and ongoing support.
- Develop payload management, orbital prediction, and analysis systems for large spacecraft constellations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, data science, or another engineering discipline.
- Software development experience with C++ or Python.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems or large-scale consumer internet systems.
- Preferred production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.
- Understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience profiling and improving application performance.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB.
- Previous satellite or spacecraft systems experience is preferred.
- Strong background in mathematics and physics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, and communicate effectively.
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed for critical development or on-orbit operations.
- Must satisfy applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

- Base salary ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 for Level 1 and from $145,000 to $195,000 for Level 2.
