Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the core test infrastructure framework and applications used across SpaceX.
- Build software for production testing, integration testing, and high-fidelity simulations across flight systems.
- Improve the reliability, performance, and safety of test software and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with flight software engineers and users across the company to develop features and improve user experiences.
- Own software engineering and product development for test infrastructure and investigate user problems to create efficient solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline, or at least two years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least one year of experience with C/C++ and at least one year of experience with Python.
- Preferred qualifications include telemetry-based software, software system design, frontend development, testing and continuous integration, performance profiling, build systems, package management, UNIX-like systems, infrastructure management, containers, Kubernetes, and databases.
- Understanding of agentic workflows and using AI to improve developer experience is preferred.
- Applicants must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
