Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python or similar languages for manufacturing and engineering design verification.
- Automate interactions with flight hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
- Create automation solutions combining software, embedded electronics, and other hardware for engineering and manufacturing challenges.
- Develop algorithms for analyzing test data and determining component acceptance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation infrastructure and identify root causes of failures with partner teams.
- Define project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews to deliver reliable test systems to production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline.
- At least 2 years of software programming experience using Python, C, or similar languages; time spent in school and on individual projects is acceptable.
- Preferred qualifications include a computer science degree, extensive Linux and Windows knowledge, configuration management and version control experience, and application, test, or automation software development experience.
- Preferred experience includes continuous integration, agile development, manufacturing process automation, control feedback loops, numerical analysis, signal processing, software-hardware troubleshooting, spacecraft fluid systems, high-power electrical systems, electro-mechanical systems, and embedded hardware product development.
- Preferred knowledge includes digital and analog interfaces such as GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
