Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based analysis tools, data pipelines, enterprise applications, automated tests, and software systems supporting hardware checkout, test operations, and vehicle processing.
- Design, implement, and deploy software interfacing with physical systems, sensors, instrumentation, and checkout equipment.
- Develop and deploy software in Linux environments using continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Evaluate and refactor existing tools and processes to improve scalability, reliability, efficiency, and automation.
- Create interdisciplinary software solutions that reduce recurring work, streamline workflows, and mitigate operational risk.
- Build secure, sustainable, scalable software using object-oriented principles and integrate new technologies as needed.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and provide meaningful technical feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, or scientific discipline, or at least one year of professional experience coding in an object-oriented language, including internships or design/build/compete project teams.
- At least one year of professional software development experience with Python.
- Familiarity with physical systems and aerospace instrumentation such as RTDs and pressure transducers is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes SQL, databases, data collection and analysis, Linux environments, shell scripting, system administration, application deployment, networking, debugging, performance optimization, testing, and reliable software development.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and domains, operate in dynamic and high-pressure environments, communicate recommendations clearly, and collaborate with technicians, engineers, managers, stakeholders, and customers.
- Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight.
Benefits
- Base salary ranges from $125,000.00 to $145,000.00 for Level I and $145,000.00 to $175,000.00 for Level II per year.
