Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages for manufacturing and engineering design verification
- Write automation software that interacts with flight hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems
- Develop custom automation solutions using embedded electronics and hardware
- Create algorithms to analyze complex test data and determine whether components meet acceptance criteria
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation infrastructure and identify root causes of failures with partner teams
- Define and implement project plans, manage milestones, and conduct reviews to deliver reliable test systems to production
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
- Development experience in C, C++, or Python, or full-stack software development experience
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with configuration management and version control software
- Experience with continuous integration and agile development
- Experience automating manufacturing processes and testing to improve yields and reduce production time
- Experience developing application, test, or automation software in an interdisciplinary environment
- Experience with control feedback loop design and implementation
- Experience with numerical analysis and signal processing
- Experience with digital and analog interfaces including GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion
- Experience troubleshooting software and hardware interactions involving network devices and lab instrumentation
- Experience with spacecraft fluid systems, high-power electrical systems, electro-mechanical systems, or embedded hardware product development
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements
