Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SpaceX’s core test infrastructure framework and supporting applications.
- Build software used for production testing, integration testing, and high-fidelity simulations across flight systems.
- Improve the reliability, performance, and safety of test software and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with flight software engineers and users to develop features and improve user experiences.
- Own software engineering and product development for test infrastructure and create efficient solutions to user problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or at least 2 years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of experience with C/C++.
- At least 1 year of experience with Python.
- Preferred experience includes telemetry-based software, software system design, frontend development with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework, and application profiling and performance improvement.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, monitoring, agentic workflows, AI-assisted developer experience, Make, Bazel, pip, npm, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Containerd, LXC, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Applicants must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
