Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale the web application for motor-controller telemetry and diagnostics.
- Create real-time and historical motor-telemetry visualizations and intuitive user interfaces.
- Design and maintain backend APIs and data pipelines supporting diagnostics and remote logging.
- Define protocols and telemetry schemas with embedded engineers.
- Own features end-to-end from concept and design through deployment and iteration.
- Collaborate with designers on UI/UX and contribute to architecture, documentation, requirements, and development processes.
- Partner with mechanical and hardware engineers on system qualification and development tests.
- Architect and deploy test fixtures and automated test infrastructure.
- Develop data-analysis pipelines and pass/fail criteria for hardware validation.
- Use oscilloscopes, read schematics, and debug board-level issues while writing C code.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience with frontend and backend development, ideally in a product-focused environment.
- Strong TypeScript and React experience.
- Experience developing desktop applications with Electron.
- Experience with Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Functions.
- Backend experience with Node.js or Python; Python experience for test scripting and data analysis is a plus.
- Experience designing and building REST or WebSocket APIs.
- Experience with real-time data, time-series databases, or WebSocket streams.
- Familiarity with Figma and close collaboration with designers.
- Strong UX instincts and an interest in building clean, usable interfaces.
- Nice-to-have experience includes hardware-system dashboards, DevOps or CI/CD pipelines, Vite, WebHID, WebUSB, or binary protocol communication with hardware devices.
