Base Salary
$130k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build cryptographic services and other security-critical infrastructure for Starlink
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and support secure, reliable internet access
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure
- Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems
- Preferred experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
