Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance data pipelines that reconcile inbound data with regulatory and settlement systems.
- Build and optimize high-performance, highly available, low-latency distributed data processing solutions.
- Develop and maintain Kafka-based streaming architectures using Azure cloud-native services.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and Kubernetes environments.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues and support production stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and communicate technical concepts to business and technology stakeholders.
- Independently solve challenging technical problems and improve existing platforms.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering or data engineering experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Spark, Databricks, and PySpark.
- Strong development skills in Python and Java.
- Deep experience with Azure cloud technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka architectures, and streaming data.
- Experience implementing and maintaining DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, independent-work, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders in Agile environments.
- Preferred: Level 3 development support experience in high-pressure production environments.
- Preferred: Experience with large-scale transaction-oriented distributed systems.
- Preferred: Experience in regulatory, settlement, or financial-services data-processing environments.
