Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
- Design algorithms and develop embedded software for resource-constrained real-time targets.
- Analyze designs and execute software tests to verify performance, functionality, and requirements compliance.
- Troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions for inefficient or faulty designs.
- Contribute to requirements development, architecture ideation, and mitigation of program or system-level technical risks.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
- Take responsibility for a subset of the engineering scope and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field across the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting software on embedded targets and real-time systems.
- Expertise with C, C++, or Rust and knowledge of operating-system coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
- Experience with board bring-up, device drivers, compilers, make files, linker scripts, in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment.
- Experience with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, peer review processes, and UML/SysML.
- Preferred experience designing and implementing a real-time operating system.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
