Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to shape product quality.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into test strategies.
- Create, execute, and maintain test documentation and test plans.
- Perform manual and automated exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, and UI testing of web applications.
- Test REST and GraphQL APIs and backend services for robustness and correctness.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, and lead root cause analysis with developers.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality best practices.
- Contribute to process improvements and engineering performance initiatives.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing against WCAG/ADA standards.
- Contribute to performance and security testing efforts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software QA experience.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes, test design techniques, web technologies, client-server architecture, and APIs.
- Experience testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Awareness of accessibility standards and experience with tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience testing native iOS or Android applications and using Xcode, Android Studio, Appium, Detox, or BrowserStack.
- Preferred familiarity with TestFlight, Google Play Console, healthcare applications, EHR systems, HIPAA, or PHIPA environments.
