Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain data pipelines, applications, and analytics products.
- Refactor and harden prototype applications into secure, reliable production tools.
- Build new applications, APIs, and integrations involving Model Context Protocols and AI-agent interactions.
- Maintain data architecture standards and ETL/ELT practices for cloud-based analytical data stores.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, product managers, business leaders, and IT partners on design, implementation, and testing.
- Create and execute unit, functional, and regression tests and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
- Communicate technical trade-offs, project progress, workload priorities, and delivery status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in application engineering, software development, or data engineering.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language, preferably Python.
- Proficiency querying enterprise data, preferably using Google BigQuery or SQL.
- Experience building and deploying applications, refactoring or modernizing codebases, and integrating data pipelines.
- Experience building APIs and integrating with Model Context Protocols to enable AI-agent interactions.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments, deployment practices, platform standards, and security frameworks for authorization and authentication.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- No previous leadership experience is required.
