Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architecture for OIGChat, pilot applications, and enterprise AI platform services.
- Oversee governed access to Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and other approved AI models, including model selection, routing, API management, and integrations.
- Lead the design, development, prototyping, and production delivery of AI applications for investigative analytics, hotline analysis, eDiscovery, and oversight.
- Establish model governance, responsible AI, cost management, monitoring, token tracking, dashboards, thresholds, alerts, and guardrails.
- Define AI/ML architecture patterns integrating governed enterprise data platforms while meeting data classification, quality, and governance requirements.
- Coordinate scalability planning across infrastructure, data, and application layers and lead AI engineering and data science resources.
- Support model auditing, explainability, bias detection, compliance, technical feasibility assessments, and level-of-effort estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 15 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, or a related field; approved equivalencies include a master’s degree plus 12 years, an associate degree plus 17 years, or 21 years without a degree.
- Proven technical leadership experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions and leading engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in LLMs, generative AI, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, enterprise AI platforms, model governance, responsible AI, and production ML operations.
- Extensive experience with AI architectures including RAG, model routing, API patterns, guardrails, monitoring, cost optimization, and enterprise data platform integration.
- Strong background with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Python, and cloud-native AI services.
- Federal government, law enforcement, investigative, or national security experience and familiarity with sensitive data, ATO processes, and compliance are desired.
- Experience with MLOps, model lifecycle management, AI governance, production monitoring and observability, investigative analytics, fraud detection, text analytics, or NLP is desired.
