Responsibilities
- Develop and improve backend and frontend services for the Athelas Home device product.
- Improve infrastructure and architect robust, scalable backend services.
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and regulatory teams to meet operational, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to maintain system stability and performance.
- Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Potentially develop application software for embedded Linux-based IoT medical devices and support computer vision model preparation, training, deployment, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
- At least four years of professional software engineering experience with proficiency in Python.
- Deep expertise developing and managing data pipelines and working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Advanced knowledge of containerization and cloud services, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building, scaling, and maintaining sophisticated production environments.
- Advanced skills in system monitoring, alerting, reporting, metrics tracking, and software reliability engineering.
- Strong product development judgment with focus on user experience and customer needs.
- Embedded Linux application software experience, hardware interfaces, or computer vision model development for blood diagnostics are desirable but not required.
