Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, maintain, and support the IFS Internal Developer Platform end to end.
- Build self-service workflows, service catalogue entries, scaffolders, golden path templates, and infrastructure workflows.
- Integrate IDP tooling with Kairos, Nexus, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD integration patterns for product teams.
- Create developer-facing documentation, guides, and enablement materials.
- Provide platform support and technical enablement to product development teams.
- Contribute to platform standards, architectural decisions, and the IDP roadmap.
- Identify and resolve platform reliability and performance issues while collaborating with adjacent platform teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building or operating Internal Developer Platforms in production environments.
- Practical experience with IDP tooling such as Backstage, Port, Cortex, or comparable platforms.
- Experience implementing service catalogues, scaffolders, golden paths, and self-service infrastructure workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration, cloud-native infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps toolchains, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, containers, and GitOps.
- Strong hands-on engineering capability across Go, React with Next.js, Apache Kafka or RedPanda, and PostgreSQL, or the ability to develop it quickly.
- Strong understanding of developer experience principles and platform thinking.
- Ability to work across platform and product team boundaries and support development teams in a platform capacity.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production AI applications; experience limited to using AI coding assistants is insufficient.
