Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native infrastructure for AI model development, training, evaluation, deployment, and inference.
- Partner with engineering, data science, security, risk, platform, and product teams on AI platform architecture, technical standards, developer experience, performance, and operational stability.
- Enable governed production deployment and serving of machine learning models and large language models, including identity, access control, data protection, security, and risk requirements.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation for repeatable, consistent, auditable platform provisioning and configuration.
- Build and operate observability, monitoring, and alerting for platform availability, performance, reliability, capacity, and cost.
- Participate in operational support and on-call rotations, incident response, and resilience efforts for critical platforms.
- Evaluate emerging AI infrastructure technologies and engineering approaches for enterprise use.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related discipline across major public cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience supporting AI and machine learning platforms across development and production, including training, fine-tuning, experimentation, validation, deployment and serving, lifecycle management, observability, resilience, disaster recovery, and MLOps pipelines.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and programming or scripting.
- Experience building and operating enterprise-grade containerized platforms supporting declarative infrastructure and horizontal scaling.
- Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, observability, and production engineering practices.
- Familiarity with GPU or other accelerator-based AI infrastructure, multicloud architectures, and enterprise governance requirements.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, security, risk, data, and product teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment is beneficial.
