Responsibilities
- Define and document target architecture blueprints and patterns for .NET Core microservices, React/React Native frontends, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Design high-availability, low-latency trading systems involving API gateways, messaging, caching, and resilience patterns.
- Establish organization-wide standards for logging, tracing, metrics, SLOs, alerting, security, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and deployment strategies.
- Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, proofs of concept, technology evaluations, and design trade-off decisions.
- Advise on Kubernetes/AKS cluster strategies, containerization, registries, GitOps, and blue-green or canary deployments.
- Guide data architecture across SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Databricks, and transactional and analytical storage systems.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams on regulatory, audit, and architectural security requirements.
- Mentor senior engineers, architects in training, and technical leads.
Requirements
- 7–14+ years of software engineering experience with significant architectural leadership and hands-on technical depth.
- Deep knowledge of .NET Core microservices, Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, CQRS, and event-driven design.
- Expert Azure experience, including App Services, AKS, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, Key Vault, Storage, and Application Insights.
- Strong Kubernetes/AKS expertise covering cluster design, networking, RBAC, network policies, resource management, autoscaling, and GitOps.
- Experience with Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Terraform, ARM templates, Docker, and deployment patterns.
- Experience designing resilient distributed systems using circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, timeouts, fallbacks, and chaos engineering.
- Strong observability knowledge, including structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, and alerting.
- Knowledge of API security, OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, secrets management, encryption, defense in depth, and data architecture patterns.
- Proven experience architecting and operating large-scale distributed systems in production, ideally in fintech, trading, or another mission-critical domain.
- Ability to communicate complex architecture decisions to technical and executive stakeholders and influence practices across teams and geographies.
