Responsibilities
- Architect, design, upgrade, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, and RDS.
- Drive infrastructure roadmap efforts focused on reliability, recoverability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Perform capacity planning, benchmarking, stress testing, bottleneck analysis, and growth preparation.
- Define and enforce SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, and observability practices.
- Build consistency and scalability across distributed microservices while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Lead AI enablement efforts involving infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
- Establish engineering practices for observability, security, and CI/CD.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
- Recent experience deploying significant changes to a production application or infrastructure configuration within the past 30 days.
- Strong Golang proficiency and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Expertise with SQL-based relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, with experience optimizing schemas and queries at scale.
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic for observability.
- Understanding of distributed systems patterns including transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with AWS infrastructure, AWS Aurora RDS, data engineering, data pipelines, data warehousing, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, containerized microservices, commercial APIs, and data-driven applications.
- Preferred familiarity with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and Cursor.
