Responsibilities
- Design and build highly reliable, performant, and secure platform building blocks.
- Build foundational frameworks, services, and enterprise data platform capabilities.
- Influence the platform team roadmap and own the evolution of multiple platform areas.
- Partner across engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver cross-cutting solutions.
- Deliver deadline-sensitive work that is interdependent with other engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of the platform and participate in code and engineering design reviews.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining backend distributed systems.
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining products or platforms.
- Experience integrating with API-based platforms and understanding REST and other RPC-based systems.
- Experience building and maintaining microservices in Python, Golang, Java, or C++.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience solving performance, optimization, scalability, latency, and monitoring challenges.
- Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to product and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about AI in work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Preferred experience working with machine learning products.
