Responsibilities
- Develop and ship code changes and new features for Atlassian products.
- Participate in full-lifecycle product development within a unified R&D team.
- Contribute to initiatives supporting customers’ transition to cloud and investments in Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket.
- Work under the guidance of Senior Engineers while gaining technical knowledge and professional experience.
Requirements
- Commit to a 12-week, full-time, 40-hour-per-week internship during Summer 2027.
- Be currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer science or a related technical field and return to the program after the internship.
- Graduate by August 2028.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java, Python, Golang, TypeScript, or another object-oriented programming language through coursework or personal projects.
- Understand data structures, algorithms, and their practical applications in problem-solving.
- Preferred: prior software engineering experience through internships, work experience, personal projects, open-source contributions, or technical publications.
- Preferred: exposure to artificial intelligence concepts, machine learning frameworks, MCP, or agentic AI.
- Preferred: basic understanding of software design patterns and their use in software architecture.
