Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable automated test framework in Python.
- Implement automated tests for lidar software interfaces, APIs, communication protocols, functionality, performance, stability, and regression coverage.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines including GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Develop and manage hardware-in-the-loop test setups using physical lidar sensors.
- Create tools and dashboards to analyze test results, visualize sensor output such as point clouds, and report quality metrics.
- Collaborate with software, firmware, systems, and design engineers to develop test strategies and identify risks.
- Investigate, debug, document, and help resolve test and engineering failures.
- Act as a quality advocate across engineering and communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or test automation.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python.
- Experience building automated test frameworks using tools such as Python Unittest.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Proficiency with network protocols, particularly TCP/IP and UDP.
- Experience using AI and LLM tools for analysis and reporting.
- Preferred experience with hardware products, sensors, robotics, or IoT devices.
- Preferred knowledge of ROS or ROS2.
- Preferred experience with Docker and data analysis or visualization libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Plotly.
- Preferred experience with performance and load testing, security and safety-critical feature testing, and Windows, Linux, and MacOS testing.
Benefits
- Base pay is listed at $150,000-$190,000 and the role may also be eligible for equity and benefits.
