Responsibilities
- Design robotics methods, tools, and infrastructure advancing manipulation and foundation-model capabilities.
- Define research goals and conduct end-to-end experiments, including implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
- Train, adapt, and deploy manipulation foundation models, reinforcement-learning systems, and agentic robot policies.
- Build synthetic-data generation, data-collection, training, and evaluation pipelines using high-fidelity simulation and sim-to-real workflows.
- Develop extensible, documented, production-quality code usable by engineers outside the team.
- Contribute to publications and open-source releases.
- Partner with customers to move manipulation capabilities from prototype to deployed product.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Research experience in machine learning, robotics, and computer vision.
- Experience developing robotics algorithms or machine-learning models at scale.
- Programming experience in Python and C++, with a good understanding of deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at hire and maintain it during employment.
- Preferred qualifications include an MS or PhD, direct robot-learning or computer-vision research, first-author publications, manipulation-policy experience, simulator experience, perception-stack familiarity, and understanding of latency, throughput, compute, and memory constraints.
- Candidates must currently be based in and authorized to work in the United States.
