Base Salary
$148k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop horizontally scalable microservices primarily in Clojure using Finagle, functional programming techniques, and hexagonal architecture.
- Build high-throughput jobs and inter-service communication using Kafka.
- Deploy and operate services on AWS and Kubernetes, including continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
- Store and manage data using Datomic and DynamoDB.
- Monitor and instrument systems with Prometheus.
- Work with large-scale distributed systems and understand their broader architecture.
- Plan and execute complete features while collaborating with peers and cross-functional teams.
- Write, test, document, and maintain code, and participate in pairing and code reviews.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and partner Engineering teams to build new experiences.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as needed.
- Contribute to mobile and frontend development according to business needs.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience developing digital products.
- Ability to understand technical and business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementations.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills across functional teams.
- Proven understanding of an object-oriented or functional programming language.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and familiarity with cloud technologies.
- Practical experience with agile software development methodologies and CI/CD.
- Advanced English skills.
- Strong attention to user experience.
