Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship end-to-end features by designing APIs, building UIs and backend services, managing data models, and deploying production software.
- Optimize latency, caching, database queries, and application performance for fast and reliable user experiences.
- Write comprehensive tests, maintain typing and linting standards, participate in code reviews, and keep the codebase maintainable.
- Collaborate with design, research, customers, and leadership to shape product requirements and user experiences.
- Implement observability, monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability and performance.
- Make product and technical tradeoffs, prioritize effectively, and iterate based on user feedback and data.
- Unblock teammates, adopt new technologies, and take ownership of delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade full-stack applications at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern web application architecture.
- Experience with Next.js, React, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Redis, background job systems, and modern backend frameworks.
- Demonstrated ownership of features from technical design through deployment and post-launch iteration.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in testing, CI/CD, type safety, maintainability, and code quality.
- Experience operating production systems with logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring tools while meeting low-latency requirements.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent coursework and practical experience.
- Preferred experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, vLLM, model serving, lightweight ML infrastructure, real-time applications, streaming, WebSockets, Server Actions, background jobs, or large-scale file processing.
- Preferred infrastructure experience with Docker, Kubernetes, IaC, AWS, GCP, or Vercel, plus product intuition around UI polish, accessibility, design systems, frontend performance, security, privacy, PII handling, and audit logging.
