Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own software architecture for testbeds, test equipment, and optical tracking systems.
- Lead the design, development, integration, and testing of C/C++ software in a Linux development environment.
- Translate Government research objectives into software requirements, architectures, and development plans.
- Design real-time and embedded software, including single-board computer applications and hardware I/O interfaces.
- Direct development of data acquisition, data reduction, analysis tools, operator interfaces, and MATLAB/Simulink models.
- Establish software testing, validation, DevOps/SecDevOps, and continuous-improvement practices.
- Plan and lead integration and field testing while resolving problems spanning hardware, software, controls, and networks.
- Lead large projects, review and direct engineering work, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality and maintainability.
- Communicate technical progress, risks, and solutions to Government customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in either field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on software engineering and development experience.
- Professional experience writing C/C++ software in a Linux system development environment.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes controls engineering, software architecture, software testing and validation, DevOps/SecDevOps, embedded and real-time systems, single-board computer development, hardware I/O, testbed design, data acquisition, field testing, UI/UX, and network configuration and support.
- Knowledge of military radar, tracking, and target aimpoint correlation is preferred.
