Responsibilities
- Own and operate agentic tooling used by engineers across Wise, including model access, security, telemetry, and evaluation.
- Build an engineering knowledge base exposed through an MCP server for engineers and AI agents.
- Lead AI enablement through workshops, practical guidance, and adoption campaigns.
- Build and operate products that reduce friction across setup, code review, deployment, and operations.
- Improve the developer portal and shared engineering services.
- Use research, feedback, usage data, and production behavior to identify shared engineering problems and deliver organization-wide improvements.
- Lead large technical initiatives across teams and communicate technical direction and changes to broad engineering audiences.
Requirements
- Be an expert in at least one of Java, Go, or TypeScript and be comfortable in a polyglot environment that also includes Python.
- Have strong experience building and operating production software from design through reliable operation.
- Demonstrate excellent software design judgment, including clear boundaries, interfaces, testability, maintainability, and observability.
- Have practical experience using agentic tools to deliver real user stories and take responsibility for their results.
- Have experience building internal platforms or tooling used by other engineers.
- Have experience leading large technical initiatives across teams.
- Bring strong code review skills and a high bar for engineering quality, testing, and maintainability.
- Be able to explain technical ideas to varied audiences, lead workshops, and advocate for change across a large engineering organization.
- Have a genuine interest in AI developer tooling and how these tools are built, secured, evaluated, and adopted.
