Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Build technology solutions supporting global cybersecurity and technology regulatory controls.
- Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs, including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
- Lead architectural and technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve engineering outcomes.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages such as C#, Python, or Rust.
- Database expertise with at least one SQL platform and experience with Kafka-based streaming event-driven integrations.
- Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations in engineering workflows.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant AI-assisted development practices.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle, including TDD, BDD, and evaluations.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry systems.
- Practical cloud-native security management experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred experience with Elastic, PostgreSQL, or vector technologies.
