Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and own scalable, modular test automation architectures and frameworks.
- Define test automation standards, best practices, and strategy while providing technical leadership and mentoring to the testing team.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated tests for the ABR/S baseline supporting Avaloq’s SaaS and BPaaS delivery model.
- Integrate automated test execution into Jenkins continuous integration and deployment pipelines and maintain test assets in GitHub.
- Write PowerShell utility scripts and PL/SQL queries to automate test execution, environment orchestration, backend validation, and test-data setup.
- Translate business workflows across Avaloq proprietary-language applications, REST APIs, and web and Smart Client applications into automated test assets.
- Develop reusable model-based test automation components and support codeless automation practices.
- Investigate, analyze, and report defects from automated and manual testing with root-cause insights.
- Evaluate and apply AI-assisted testing tools, generative AI solutions, and automation accelerators.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and software quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software testing experience in enterprise software applications.
- Proven technical leadership experience driving test strategy, setting architectural standards, and mentoring team members.
- Expertise applying modularity, abstraction, reusability, clean architecture, design patterns, and other software engineering principles to test automation.
- Practical experience with Jira, Zephyr, Scrum, and Kanban delivery practices.
- Hands-on experience integrating test suites with Jenkins pipelines and managing version control with GitHub.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell and strong database-querying skills using PL/SQL.
- Ability to work with proprietary programming languages such as Avaloq’s proprietary language alongside standard software concepts.
- Experience with enterprise application delivery and exposure to SaaS, BPaaS, and ABR/S product baselines; banking or financial-services experience is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca is highly preferred.
- Understanding of model-based and codeless test automation, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and relational databases.
- Experience developing and executing automated tests across web, API, desktop, and enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies, as well as API testing, service validation, and continuous testing.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software testing, generative AI tools, intelligent test automation, or test automation accelerators is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Oracle database administration is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, ownership, quality, and communication skills.
