Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available Kubernetes platforms.
- Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, optimizing for cost and security.
- Utilize Helm for automating application deployments to Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement Karpenter for dynamic scaling of Kubernetes clusters.
- Configure and manage Istio for service communication and observability.
- Automate deployment and management processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Respond to incidents and troubleshoot system issues effectively.
- Design secure cloud infrastructure with appropriate access controls.
- Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Karpenter, and Istio.
- 8+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Chef, or Ansible.
- 8+ years of experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
- Proven experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes platform creation and management.
- Hands-on experience with Helm for application deployment.
- Practical experience with Karpenter for scaling Kubernetes clusters.
- Expertise in managing Istio for service mesh functionalities.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Go.
