Responsibilities
- Operate, administer, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on Google Kubernetes Engine and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Manage cluster health, node pools, workloads, namespaces, networking, storage, and Kubernetes resources.
- Support application deployments using Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
- Monitor platform health and implement alerting, logging, dashboards, and operational documentation.
- Own incident response, including triage, root cause analysis, corrective actions, P1/P2 incident bridges, and post-incident reviews.
- Track and improve platform reliability, availability, performance, and operational metrics.
- Manage Terraform-based infrastructure automation and support Kubernetes operations automation.
- Coordinate with cloud, application, networking, and platform teams to resolve production issues.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of IT experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Google Kubernetes Engine and supporting production environments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes administration, architecture, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Argo CD is preferred or advantageous.
- Experience executing and troubleshooting GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD deployment activities.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Proficiency with Terraform and scripting or programming in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, ingress controllers, load balancers, storage, Helm, RBAC, secrets, and certificate management.
- Ability to troubleshoot under pressure, communicate clearly across technical teams, work across time zones, and participate in 24/7/365 shifts and on-call rotations.
