Responsibilities
- Build and deploy custom software that solves operational and customer problems from initial discovery through production delivery.
- Work directly with operations, product, business stakeholders, and customers to define problems and translate them into shipped software.
- Develop applications and related services using Go while designing and operating cloud infrastructure on GCP.
- Build API integrations, edge systems, IoT workflows, cloud-native services, and infrastructure-as-code solutions around ERP, CRM, and MES platforms.
- Own automation, environments, pipelines, and production delivery across the software development lifecycle.
- Apply generative AI, applied AI/ML, and intelligent automation to improve engineering velocity and solve business problems.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews and help establish engineering standards for AI/ML integrations and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with hands-on development, systems architecture, and production systems integration experience.
- Experience across application engineering, cloud infrastructure, and production delivery automation, including greenfield development and enterprise platform integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous, high-stakes problems from initial discussion to working production software.
- Experience with AI/ML in production or applied business contexts and use of generative AI tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Go, Python, TypeScript, API design, GCP, modern cloud architectures, infrastructure-as-code, cloud environments, and delivery automation.
- Experience with MQTT, IoT, edge computing, manufacturing technologies, and ERP, CRM, or MES integrations is highly valued.
- Prior forward-deployed, field engineering, solutions engineering, or startup founding-engineer experience is a strong plus.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, autonomy, adaptability, and ability to deliver secure and reliable solutions under tight timelines.
