Responsibilities
- Operationalize machine learning models and software components that solve real-world business problems.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
- Leverage cloud architectures and technologies to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Implement model monitoring, validation, bias detection, explainability, drift detection, and performance management.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, continuous testing, test automation, monitoring, and A/B testing practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics teams.
- Provide technical input, coach team members, and promote learning and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or experience in related fields.
- Advanced experience in software engineering, system design, machine learning and deep learning, model deployment, data integration and processing, and statistics and computing.
- Experience with programming languages including Python, R, SQL, Java, or Scala.
- Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; neural networks; NLP; computer vision; and predictive analytics.
- Experience with model development lifecycle practices, model and data versioning, pipeline frameworks, and ML model monitoring.
- Knowledge of relational, NoSQL, graph, unstructured, and semi-structured data and distributed data processing with Spark or PySpark.
- Understanding of linear algebra, probability and statistics, multivariate calculus, and common statistical distributions.
- Ability to coach others, solve complex problems, collaborate effectively, and learn new skills independently.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development.
