Base Salary
$120k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable and available software systems for low-latency, high-capacity orbital data centers.
- Design and implement fault-tolerant software systems that operate at scale with minimal maintenance.
- Write efficient, high-quality code for embedded systems and custom hardware.
- Integrate software with hardware components and collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Create and execute test plans for simulations and on-orbit testing.
- Use automated testing and continuous integration tools to maintain code quality and support robust deployment.
- Build and maintain infrastructure for software development, testing, and deployment.
- Develop monitoring and analysis tools to track system performance and drive reliability improvements.
- Own the software lifecycle from development through testing and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field, or 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, particularly in aerospace, space, or data processing industries, is preferred.
- Expertise in networking protocols including UDP and TCP/IP is preferred.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing skills are preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are preferred.
- Must meet U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or applicable U.S. export authorization requirements.
