Base Salary
$388k - $558k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve performance-focused UI architectures for Netflix’s TV platform.
- Enable engineers to build streaming applications across more than 100 TV device types and platforms.
- Improve developer experience, ergonomics, performance, memory usage, scalability, and technology integrations.
- Investigate the inner workings of technologies and make thoughtful architectural trade-offs.
- Collaborate with UI Engineering, Design, Platform, and tooling teams.
- Define project scope, architecture, trade-offs, and implementation details with significant ownership.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write elegantly designed, maintainable, and performant software.
- Experience with performance and memory profiling.
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with UI frameworks such as React, Preact, or Inferno is useful.
- Experience with GraphQL or similar data-access solutions is useful.
- Experience with API design is useful.
- Experience with additional languages such as C++ is useful.
- Strong collaboration, communication, systems-thinking, and architectural problem-solving abilities.
