Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of scalable, maintainable components across the TM1 Maps platform.
  • Shape application architecture with emphasis on reliability, simplicity, observability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Build and improve micro-frontends and backend services using React, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Develop and operate services on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Design and support shared services, APIs, and integrations for internal and external teams.
  • Promote automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and recovery automation.
  • Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design feedback, and coaching.
  • Influence architecture decisions, build alignment across teams, and resolve technical roadblocks.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve the reliability and performance of real-time, end-to-end systems.
  • Participate in the team’s on-call support rotation.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience building and operating production software systems.
  • Strong Java development skills, including Spring Boot experience.
  • Strong frontend development experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with NodeJS and Express.
  • Experience designing shared services, APIs, and distributed applications.
  • Experience with microservices or event-driven architecture and maintainable software design practices.
  • Experience modernizing and supporting legacy systems.
  • Experience with production reliability, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
  • Experience with CI/CD and delivery tooling such as Maven and GitLab CI or similar.
  • Working knowledge of database technologies such as DynamoDB, Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps-oriented teams with delivery and production-support responsibility.
  • Ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct people-management authority.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Elasticsearch and Kafka.
  • Preferred: experience operating services on AWS and deploying or supporting applications on Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: experience supporting teams integrating with shared platforms or services.
  • Autonomous, proactive, clear communicator who is comfortable leading technical work and mentoring engineers.
