Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain complex native mobile applications, frameworks, libraries, and SDK capabilities for iOS, Android, or both.
- Lead product features across discovery, technical design, implementation, release, observability, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI coding agents and automated workflows across mobile platforms, APIs, services, and delivery pipelines while maintaining engineering standards.
- Design maintainable architectures and APIs while balancing performance, accessibility, security, privacy, resilience, scalability, and cost.
- Build modern native user experiences with SwiftUI and UIKit and/or Jetpack Compose and established Android view systems.
- Investigate threading, memory, networking, runtime, and performance issues using automated testing, static analysis, observability, evaluation, and production signals.
- Improve application modularization, build systems, release automation, developer tooling, and engineering documentation.
- Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, root-cause analysis, incident learning, and significant refactoring initiatives.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, security specialists, and engineers across the stack to deliver measurable product outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and promote responsible AI use, transparent decision-making, disciplined experimentation, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex products and operating at senior level.
- Deep production expertise in native iOS, including Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, structured concurrency, Apple frameworks, Xcode, and the iOS build and release lifecycle.
- Experience designing scalable mobile architectures using patterns such as MVI, MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture, or equivalent approaches.
- Experience building modular applications, reusable libraries, frameworks, or SDKs with stable, well-designed APIs.
- Strong experience with automated testing, debugging, profiling, delivery pipelines, release automation, and mobile non-functional requirements.
- Hands-on production experience using AI coding assistants or agents and the ability to demonstrate improved engineering outcomes.
- Understanding of agentic development risks, including incorrect output, missing context, insecure code, dependency risk, privacy, and over-automation, with appropriate verification and human review.
- Ability to work across iOS, Android, and adjacent systems; deep expertise in one mobile platform with effective cross-platform contribution is sufficient.
- Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into testable technical plans, anticipate cross-system impacts, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
- Effective English communication and ability to work in an international, multidisciplinary environment.
- Preferred experience with both native iOS and native Android.
- Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform, or another cross-platform mobile technology.
- Preferred experience building AI-enabled product capabilities using model APIs, retrieval, evaluation datasets, guardrails, observability, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Preferred experience with mobile security, accessibility, performance optimization, SDK development, enterprise application distribution, regulated industries, cloud services, backend APIs, or data pipelines.
