Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and launch Android Overview features including enhanced drag and drop, pagination, and multi-display support.
- Analyze and improve the performance, responsiveness, and memory footprint of Launcher Overview features.
- Modernize Launcher architecture by adopting model-view-viewmodel (MVVM) and integrating Jetpack Compose.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve complex functionality, performance, and accessibility issues.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers across Launcher and Android Platform to build multitasking solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
- At least 3 years of Android application development experience.
- Experience with Kotlin.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
