Base Salary

$142k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable Java microservices with Spring Boot and resilient architectural patterns.
  • Build event-driven data pipelines and asynchronous integrations using Apache Kafka and related messaging technologies.
  • Construct cloud-native services with Spring Cloud, including configuration management, service discovery, and gateway routing.
  • Optimize Spring Data JPA data-access layers and relational-database performance.
  • Apply Java concurrency, multithreading, and memory-management expertise to build safe, performant backend systems.
  • Profile and tune services for latency, memory utilization, and throughput.
  • Lead code reviews and promote microservices engineering best practices.
  • Deploy and manage containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes throughout development and production operations.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of hands-on Java development experience, including JDK 8 or later, concurrency utilities, and memory management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and deploying production microservices with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
  • Ability to build and consume RESTful APIs and implement asynchronous messaging and fault-tolerant service integrations.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Centralized Configuration, and Service Discovery patterns.
  • Practical Docker experience for packaging and deploying distributed applications.
  • Experience with Git-based version-control workflows and Agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills for independent and cross-functional work.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent practical experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Kubernetes production experience, cloud-platform exposure, and Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ experience are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, JUnit, Mockito, and AI/ML backend integrations is beneficial.
