Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert on Snowflake for AI/ML workloads.
- Advise customers on best practices for data science workloads on Snowflake.
- Build, deploy, and manage ML pipelines using Snowflake features and ecosystem partner tools.
- Develop hands-on proofs of concept using SQL and Python to demonstrate Snowflake implementation techniques.
- Ensure knowledge transfer so customers can extend Snowflake capabilities independently.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary AI/ML technologies and vendors and position Snowflake appropriately.
- Work deeply with systems integrator consultants to position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments.
- Guide customers through resolving technical challenges.
- Develop the expertise of other Professional Services team members.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.
Requirements
- A university degree in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role.
- Ability to present effectively to technical and executive audiences through whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
- Thorough understanding of the complete data science lifecycle, including feature engineering, model development, model deployment, and model management.
- Strong understanding of MLOps and technologies for deploying and monitoring models.
- Experience with at least one public cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with at least one data science tool such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Dataiku, DataRobot, H2O, or Jupyter Notebooks.
- Hands-on scripting experience with SQL and at least one of Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Bonus: experience with generative AI, LLMs, vector databases, Databricks, Apache Spark, ETL tools, data science roles, enterprise software, or a core industry vertical.
