Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement modular, reusable automation software primarily in Python for manufacturing and engineering design verification.
- Develop automation software for test articles, test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
- Enable test execution across hardware-in-the-loop and virtualized simulation environments.
- Create algorithms to analyze complex test data and verify acceptance-criteria compliance.
- Build and maintain deployment, test-execution, data-analysis, and continuous-integration and release tools.
- Lead development and management of telemetry systems for development environments to improve observability, performance monitoring, and data accessibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline.
- At least 3 years of software development experience in C, C++, Python, or full-stack software development.
- Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, portfolios, or completed products.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is preferred.
- Experience with configuration management, version control, build toolchains, test infrastructure, and telemetry systems is preferred.
- Experience automating manufacturing and testing processes to improve yields and reduce production time is preferred.
- Knowledge of digital and analog interfaces including GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and unit-testing skills are preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of networks, electronics, math, and physics is preferred.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, highly technical environments and work extended hours or weekends as necessary.
