Responsibilities
- Maintain and update legacy code while preserving existing functionality.
- Develop new features based on business requirements.
- Write comprehensive tests for new and existing functionality.
- Debug and resolve reported issues across the system.
- Perform root-cause analysis for critical bugs.
- Monitor and optimize application performance and database queries.
- Apply modern software design patterns and best practices to build scalable, maintainable applications.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
- Collaborate on the development of Playtech’s Player Journey platform, uniting frontend and backend functions.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer or several years of Java development experience.
- Strong Java development and frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
- Expertise in application performance optimization and database query optimization.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and profiling techniques.
- Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy systems.
- Knowledge of Hibernate, JDBC, MariaDB, Kafka, Docker, and Maven.
- Understanding of Git workflows, including pull requests and branches.
- Experience with TypeScript, React, Redux, ES2020, HTML5, SCSS, MaterialUI, Webpack, and Jest.
- Knowledge of modern software design patterns and scalable application development practices.
- Strong collaboration, self-motivation, attention to detail, and commitment to technical quality.
